The farm has been farmed and owned by the same family since 1703 and this year on the 5th March they have celebrated 300 years of farming. Records show the settlement of Trefranck was first recorded in 1276. The farm, 340 acres, is a mixed farm, with beef and sheep being the main enterprises. In addition they have many other animals; ponies, 2 goats, dogs, cats, and chickens, that lay lovely fresh eggs, and of course many rabbits. Their daughter also has a small flock of rare breed Balwen Sheep, with their unique markings. Wild life around the farm is abundant with rabbits, foxes, deer, badgers, bats, owls and buzzards. Within the farm they have two wild life ponds, also playing host to a wide variety of wild life. Guest are welcome to go on a Land Rover trip around he farm to see the animals and stand under the wind turbines, or go on a night time star watch and maybe see foxes, rabbits, badgers or the barn owls hunting for food.
