Welcome to The Mad Hatters Tearooms. We are situated in Launceston Town centre map opposite W H Smiths and next door to an Old Fashioned Sweet Shop (a must to visit). Our menu offers a wide variety of high quality, tasty fayre. The tearoom has a large display of teapots, novelty and collectables. Some of the pots are for sale, others for display only. You will be assured of a warm welcome, locals and visitors alike. For visitors we offer information on the Town, its History and Places to visit.

The Tearoom seats up to a maximum of 24 guests and offers a pleasant, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal stop for a cream tea or something more substantial. We offer a high standard of service, home made scones, soups, lasagna and much more. (menu) A large part of our menu changes from day to day and is displayed on our specials board.

To the right you can see the tea caddies holding our range of up to 55 different teas from all over the world. Beyond the caddies are the pots, collectors pieces, that we use on the tables. The pots range from a Charles Dickens collection to the unusual. Fancy your tea in the toilet (click here) The pots on display are always changing and a small proportion of them are for sale.

To the left you can see our dresser. The dresser holds a display of homemade cakes, baked in the tearooms. Sherry soaked fruit cake covered in chocolate, Carrot Cake, Coffee & Walnut Cake, Syrup Ginger Date & Walnut, Victoria Sponge, Chocolate Cake, Spiced Apple Cake and many more

The walls have pictures of some of the characters from Alice in Wonderland. To the right you will see The Queen of Hearts. All adding to the charming character of the Tearoom. Feel welcome to take pictures.

Some of the pots are naughty but nice, have a browse around. You will be amazed at what you see. A lot of the pots are real collecters pieces and go back many years, Unicorns, Dragons, Elvis, Sailing Ships and much more. To see them all you need to visit.

Sit and enjoy a pot of real tea and a tasty meal, take in the atmosphere and enjoy your day at the Mad Hatters. Take home a souveneer of your visit, have a cream tea with real home made scones.
